Supporting Children Through Community Engagement
The Shelby County Children’s Advocacy Center hosts fundraising and awareness events throughout the year to support child abuse prevention, advocacy, and healing services.
All funds raised directly support services provided at no cost to families. Proceeds help fund forensic interviews, therapy services, family advocacy, and coordinated case response.
Butterfly Release
Held each April in recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month, our annual Butterfly Release is a special event that brings the community together to raise awareness and promote child abuse prevention.
During the event, butterflies are released as a symbol of hope, healing, and new beginnings for children and families in our community. This meaningful gathering highlights the importance of community support and coordinated services in creating a safer future for every child.
Princess Ball
The Princess Ball is one of the largest annual fundraisers benefiting the Shelby County Children’s Advocacy Center. This magical event brings together young princesses and their father figures or special guests for an evening filled with dancing, sweet treats, and special princess appearances.
Families enjoy a memorable experience while helping raise funds that support the Advocacy Center’s mission to serve and protect children in our community.
Shelby County Breakfast With Santa
Breakfast With Santa is a festive holiday event where families gather for a fun morning filled with breakfast, holiday cheer, and a visit with Santa.
This joyful event brings the community together and creates special memories for children and families during the Christmas season.
Christmas Toy Drive
Our annual Christmas Toy Drive helps bring joy to children in our community during the holiday season. Through the generosity of local individuals and businesses, we collect new toys and gifts for children and families who may need extra support during Christmas.
This initiative ensures that every child has the opportunity to experience the excitement and magic of the season. It’s a meaningful way for our community to come together, give back, and share the spirit of Christmas with those who need it most.
Back To School Drive
Our Back To School Drive helps provide school supplies for children in our community who need extra support. We partner with generous individuals and local businesses to collect essential items so students can start the school year prepared and ready to learn.
