The Mission of the Shelby County Children's Advocacy Center is to promote emotional and physical healing of child abuse victims by uniting the efforts of public agencies and enlisting community support to optimize the prevention, detection, assessment, investigation, and prosecution of child abuse cases.

We utilize a multidisciplinary team (MDT) response that includes:

• Law Enforcement
• Child Protective Services
• Prosecution
• Medical Providers
• Mental Health Professionals
• Victim Advocates
• Children’s Advocacy Center Staff

This coordinated model ensures children do not have to repeatedly relive trauma while investigations move forward efficiently.
